Plans have now been finalized for the remodel of this project to turn it into a true Cinepolis

Vista’s Krikorian multiplex cinema in Vista Village abruptly shut down Monday night and will reopen Wednesday under new management.

Cinépolis, a Mexican movie chain that operates two luxury movie theaters in North County, has purchased the lease on the 15-screen Vista theater.

Unlike the Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas in La Costa and Del Mar Highlands — which offer reclining lounge chairs and waiter service — the Vista location will be a more traditional upscale theater with the same employees and — for now — the same ticket prices, said Annelise Holyoak, marketing manager for Cinépolis USA in Los Angeles.
